These six duets are remarkable set of the smallest chamber music for two flutes, written in the style of the end of Baroque and the beginning of Classical era. Composer treated the both parts of the flutes as equally important voice, so that while one is playing melody, the other won’t hide itself into an accompaniment. Some of these duets were composed in the tonalities that were not often used for the flute music in the 18th century (like E flat major or f minor); these tonalities have more muffled or shadowed tones than the others. This combination of the tonality makes these six duets more interesting and unique among the same repertoire.
